Read: 1 Corinthians 11:17-22, 1:10-19, James 2:1-26

What was the root cause of the division occurring in the Corinthian church?  How did it manifest?

How was God calling them to be countercultural?  Why would this have been a hard adjustment? 

In what way can this same dynamic occur in churches today?  Give an example.  How can it be avoided?
